Her eye is shut and I don’t know what to do

Hi everyone, this is Paprika. I adopted her almost 2 years ago at the vet’s. The vet told me her original owners tried to feed her many crickets at once, and they ended up attacking her eye. So she has always had one bad eye, we treated it for a while because it was a wound but the eye will always be blind. Her good eye now is closed shut and I can only imagine that the infection from the cricket bites spread to her other eye? I know it’s been around two years but I can’t think of anything else. It seems like there’s puss where the eye is shut too.

I would just take her to the vet A.S.A.P that way there able to drain out the puss and matter build up. Just be safe, there is a correct way to drain it out. But I would have a vet do it and see if they can show you how to do it properly. My local vet is really cool about that.

You can use unisole 4 saline solution make sure there are no preservatives. That could help as well.

this looks like an abscess or a sinus infection, you need to bring her to the vet to get her eye flushed out
