Thank you for all the kind words and well wishes for Hera. She seems to be doing well this morning. She has had her meds and we are getting ready to assist feed her since she did not eat her bugs on her own this morning. Dr. Mader said it may take her awhile to eat on her own like it did with Dulce. Here's a couple of pictures of her from yesterday evening. In the first one you can kind of see her stitches right above her back leg and the leaf. If she moves to where I can get a shot of the stitches, we'll try to get one. Her color is good and he is drinking allot on her own.
I am very please with Hera's improvement so far. We still assist feed her but that's to be expected. When Dulce (my Cuban Kinght) had this same surgery I had to assist feed her for about a month after the surgery.
Thank you all again for all the support. I have a couple photos below of Hera and her stitches. We are celebrating Hera's birthday today and I plan to do a birthday photo thread of her shortly.
She looks sooo good, especially considering her surgery. I'm very impressed with how nice her incision looks. Hope she feels good enough to eat on her own very soon. You're a fantastic ChamMom.
Happy Hatchday Hera. You are such a gorgeous girl! I'm sure your Mommy has a special treat just for you! Glad to see you have been recovering well and I will pray for a fast and perfect recovery. Hope to see you eating on your own soon!
