Hi im worried about my female cham

Hi over the last few days iv notised a massive change in her normal ways iv put a pot with damp pete in the bottom of her cage also covered pot with fake plants and covered side of tank but keep finding her on the botton of her viv shes gone very dark and is cold and stiff to pick up shes now not eating or drinking iv placed her under light to warm up iv seen her go into the pot but then come back later in the day and shes gone back to bottom of viv should i be worried when should i take her to vets i really dont want to stress her if not needed how long can she go without food thanks for any help advise given
 
Welcome to the forums. What kind of chameleon do you have? The girls can really worry us. How deep is the pot? Is the Pete moist enough to hold a tunnel and not cave in on her? If you think she's digging to lay then I would not disturb her. Hiya thank you so much for your reply she's a Yemen the pot is about 6-8 inches deep it is infact a slow cooker pot I'm not sure how wet the soil should be is it worth me changing to sand iv managed to get her to eat and drink some I had to take her out viv a few times because she stayed at the bottom so long and she was very cold so warmed her up and she seemed fine for a couple of days but she's just sitting in the pot if I was to turn lights out she would stay there I'm worried she will get to cold lying there
