So I FINALLY got the Large Atruim put together and it's freaking ginormous! I had no idea it was so big!!!!

I thought for sure starting assembly at 2pm that I would even get it partially decorated today....um, nope! It's together, that's it.

Tomorrow will be the big move around! My panther, DZ, will get the atrium, and Hansel the Hottie Vieled will get DZ's cage.

For now, we are using a desk for the base until the hubbie can build me a good stand. The good thing is that the top of this thing is well above my head. DZ is gonna love it!!

I have always thought that the 4x2x2 footprint of space was too narrow. That looks like well built cage, is it a Dragon Strand? You are going to have fun decorating that cage.

CHEERS!

I think your dragon ledges are supposed to go horizontal, not vertical.

The ones on the back wall of the large atrium are supposed to be vertical as per the instructions. I can totally see why I will need them there since it's so huge. The braces that screw into the outside wouldn't fit horizontally. The ones on the side walls are horizontal.

Yes, it's the Dragon Strand Large Atrium. I knew it was gonna be big, but I had no idea just how big! I thought I was gonna have plenty to fill in the space but not even close! I'm going out tomorrow to get a few more plants and some vines.

Dragonstrand atrium cages are such a big upgrade from the normal 24x24x48. I have a medium custom atrium as it was the only size that will fit my condo unit! Did it come with the drip easy tray?

Have fun setting it up!

No. Unfortunatly the large does not. That almost made me get the medium. But I'll be getting one soon.

IT'S DONE! IT'S DONE!!
Well, all but the mistking. That will have to wait for tomorrow. Here are a few progression pics.

Picked up some plants....since it's winter, all they had were pathos and spider plants. And after the repotting, I have decided that I HATE gardening.

The branches going in...

Even though there are 6 plants in there it still looks empty!! But those pathos should fill out really well and I'm looking to add an umbrella plant once they have them.

Added the vines and a few decorations and the Cham. Lol. He was so MAD that I was trying to get him out of his old cage, even though it was completely stripped of everything but branches. But he eagerly went right in when I finally got him wrangled.

He was the lightest mint green and white I've ever seen him!

Hansel got all set up in his new cage too...no more trapped in the hospital square glass of emotion. Still going to add a few things to his as well but here they are so far...
And of course, there's the mistking waiting to be set back up. I have a nozzle and a rain dome to add to DZ's atrium and Hansel already has a nozzle on his cage, I just need to configure the t-joints to add the new set up. It still looks so bare! Can't wait for those plants to fill in!

In my opinion it's plenty tall enough. But generally a larger cage would be amazing. But this is a great size for larger and better for your Cham and still being economical

Nice. Just wish they made it taller...
It's taller than I thought it was going to be. Get out a tape measure and see. I have it on a desk and it is way above my head. I needed a ladder to get to the top to set up the lights.

And it is plenty tall enough. There is a lot of space to fill.

Dude I can't wait. I'm getting that SAME one with my tax return. The chameleon is getting too fat for his current enclosure.

Oh, I'm sure it is tall enough. And it looks great.

Right now I'm using a 24x24x48 cage. I just wish it were at least that same height (48"), that's all.

You're my inspiration.

I just ordered the same atrium cage. I also got the drip tray, a MistKing, a 48" Arcadia Quad Light setup, another basking lamp (better than what I have), and a fancy smancy solar output thermometer.

I'm broke. It's all ramen noodles from here on out. Can't say I don't love my little guy.
