Hornworms at PETSM**T?!

Say whaaaaaaaa?!
I just seen the first hornworm my local big box pet supply store has ever carried. I was shocked to say the least, it came in a small square clear container with enough food for a couple days. I'm actually considering buying it even though it's ridiculously over priced at $3.19 for ONE.... It's good to have when I run out.....
Thoughts?

My Petsmart advertised them over a month ago for 20 at $2.99. I've called several times to see if they've arrived yet, and still no delivery. My last call however brought the new price change to my attention. If they're going t be that much for 1 single worm than I guess my boy will only get am exotic treat here and there. Sigh

Just curious as to why you didn't spell out the whole name of the store. Are big chain pet store names banned from being spoken on this forum? lol.

Voldemort !!

That is deff overpriced though. Best bet for local feeders is to check your local bait shops or order online.

My local bait shop will give you two to three dozen crickets if you ask for a dozen. Once I went there and asked for a dozen and they were only like 1/4 inch ones so he gave me about fifty.

Bait shop code:
1 unit = hand full

Bob wants 1oz of bait, Bob does not care bait size. Ted is wondering why these flatlanders are asking for bait size.

Do you buy your crickets from a bait shop? I do and have not seen a difference. They are definitely cheeper though!

When I buy crickets that is where I get them. I do not think there is a difference in bait shop or pet store crickets. The bait shop I go to keeps the crickets in a 10 gallon aquarium and I think he feeds them potatoes. Ill be gut loading them the same no matter where I get them.

SOoooooo disappointed.

I thought, no this has to be a mistake:

Nope, ONE hornworm for 3 bucks.

Haha yeah! I saw at my local Petco that they sell hornworms as well, but the price is too much for one single worm. Good thing o have a surplus of 65 hornworms right now haha . I'd rather get them online for 30 worms.

Might as well go buy a hornworm cup haha :ROFLMAO:, the packaging is probably more expensive than the worm! How big was the packaged hornworm anyways?
