House light bulb Vs. Basking bulb

Obviously you don't get the point either WE ARE TALKING ABOUT LIGHTS. This is pointless because people like you don't read the while post and start going off on another topic. This is a waste of time if no one can even stick to the whole point behind all this. Going on about Chameleon care and all that had nothing to do with the lights we where talking about.
Perhaps a less abrasive approach to explaining your thoughts would go farther. No offence, I'm sure your intentions are gold, but you come across smug and condescending. Questioning someones comments rather than challenging them and putting them down can really help keep threads on track rather than putting people on the defense having to back up their comments and take the tread off point.

We often recommend using regular white light household incandescent bulbs for basking…test the temperature with your hand. You don’t want to burn your chameleon. Hold your hand INSIDE the cage as close to the bulb as you can, palm side DOWN, if you want to remove your hand, then it’s too warm. Raise the bulb higher or use a lower wattage.
