How do I progress from member to enthusiast?

LOL yall are funny. Truth is just because a status says enthusiast it does not mean they actually know what they are doing. They may just like to talk a lot.

I have that ranking and there have been people that are ranked as member or avid member that know far more then I do. There are people ranked enthusiast like me that have a few months of actual hands on experience and then there are people that have years and years more then me.

Kinda sad because it is misleading to Newbies... They think someone that is telling them everything is fine knows what they are doing when in fact they have only had a cham for a month or they have no hands on experience at all with chameleons.

While yall are eager to advance just remember learning and having the skill set to actually know what your talking about is more important then what your title says you are... I am 2 years in the hobby and still learning. But I see advice given that does not make sense because people have not had the time within the hobby to understand the differences.

My 2 cents try not to crucify me too harshly for my honest opinion.

I agree i am nearing two years and i know more than when I started with chams but not near as much as other that have researched more or been doing this for decades.

The system isn't perfect as a ranking but it is pretty good at giving you a baseline. You just have to be aware that new member doesn't always mean noob and that Chameleon Enthusiasts may not be experts in all aspects of chameleon care. I find by the time folks have had enough conversations to be an Enthusiast they have picked up a fair bit of knowledge and understanding. Except for me I'm just here gaming for points now back to that Dmitri Trophy.
