How do I replant this plant???

Hiya I need to know if I can replant this plant Ive got as I got it from a garden centre and they didnt know if the soil has had any pesticide you see. So how I go through doing it?? I have got hold of some organic compost you see and was planning to replanty it in that but I dunno if I can as it looks like it has roots on the outside of the soil???? (See picture below) Are they roots or just rope holding the soil that it was in together???

If you can help me id be extremely grateful!!!!

try washing it off with a hose the roots and then put half the organic soil in and place the plant in the pot and then add more until filled try and clean off the leaves too! i just replanted mine Sunday it wasn't too bad goodluck!

Yea wash the dirt away with the hose. Make sure you clean both the roots and plant very well.

That one is a pothos. Which would be. Nice addition for your little Cham so shefflera spp too!
