How do you know when your female panther is ready to breed???

I am just starting out on breeding and raising chamilions and was just wondering different opinions on when a female is ready to mate and how old to breed them at????

Welcome to the forums. I recommend getting some chameleon experience with a couple years of just keeping before you breed. I also recommend breeding after one year old and of a good weight. I have a few links below that you might find helpful.

Thanks! I've had a Jackson and a Senegal for a year now and I just got a pair of panthers. Thanks my female is almost a year now how big do you want your females to be? Thanks for your help I really appreciate it!

Well every one needs to be ready for what's going to happen. Everyone! Most importantly, you. So do tone more research. Because I was going to ask the same thing but instead turned to YouTube for demo videos. And you can see the size of the females that are ready. Both male and female need to be at least one year old. You will really notice a difference in your female when she is done growing and starts to "pack on the pounds" so to say. She should be just slightly smaller than him, but almost as "fat". I mean a healthy weight, which FYI looks just slightly over weight if that makes since. After all this waiting and advice, it's really up to you. Make sure she is that famous salmon pink you can see in the videos, if she isn't, don't even try.

Sooo off topic - but thank you for sharing these links jann! I read every word of each of them! Took AWHILE. I feel so enlightened. Especially the egg laying bin video from dez! I desperately needed that. I have read how to make one, but actually seeing it be put together was incredibly helpful! Thank you
