How much should I be feeding?

I have a 4 month old ambilobe male. Prior to getting him I did a bunch of research, and the general consensus was 12-15 small/med crix a day. Recently though I've seen people saying feed them 12-15 twice a day... or feed them as much as they'll eat... I know overfeeding can be detrimental to their health. Just kinda curious what others do?

at that age i fed mine 1 a day and as much as they wanted but i dont think you should do that sorry i didnt really answer your question:p

Haha, its okay! That was your experience! And that's really all I was wanting to know. I generally feed him about 30 minutes after I turn his lights on and he's had a chance to warm up.

Thank you for your input :)

When my cham was at that age, he would rush the cup. Eat about 7-8 crickets right off the bat, then I would dump the rest....20 in total.

4-5 in a cup and 4-5 free roaming if you have a big enclosure just to make sure he gets his belly full if it's a small enclosure they have a chance to overwhelm him/her and possibly get hungry and start attacking him/her if you free roam don't leave them in there for a very long time because they could do what I said a sentence before to the cham.

My guys will eat what they can, but they won't keep eating if they aren't hungry. Just try different numbers and see what your cham likes. Some have bigger appetites than others. ^_^

Memphis has eaten 25-35 quarter to half inch crix/worms each day since I was told to feed them as much as he wants for his age. I actually limit him to that amount even though he still comes running for more. I just don't understand how he can put that much food away and still be hungry. I don't think I will ever find out the max that he is willing to eat for a day.

I have the same going on right now. I have about 4 mo old Veiled and he eats like a monster. I only cup feed him, and he would eat 25 in an hour and go for more. As soon as I put the cup with about 10 small/medium crickets inside, after 5 minutes it would be empty. He just seems to be always hungry :D I don't even know if that's normal. Should I try to feed him as much as he wants for one day? Haha.
