I mist water 2 times every day with a dropper system and have a % of 35 humidity. I mist all of the plants and i have Spanish moss on the bottom of my cage.

The temperature around the basking area is 85% but i have a 60 watt heat desk bulb. I can feel it produce heat. I am going to get the UVB and a stronger bulb at my next expo which will be exactly in a month.

I have a Veiled Cham and I need to know how i can increase the humidity level up to 50% (least).

Where are you reading it from? If you're reading it near the basking light, you may want to move it to the middle of the cage and read it there. THe lamp dries it out around there. You can also put shower curtain plastic around a side or two. that will help a lot

You can wrap the sides of the cage with plastic like a shower curtain the help keep the humidity in.

You say you are going to get the uvb in a month?? I would suggest not waiting that long it is essantial for the well being of your cham.

Some live plants can also help with humidity but be sure they are safe plants and as a general rule most cage bottoms are best left bare, as well as plant soil covered with larger rocks, to eliminate accidental ingestion of substrate and soil.

I also see you are new WELCOME!!

I would suggest taking a look at the how to ask for help form in the health section and possibly filling it out.

cheers :)

Rango is about 3-4 month old male and I am feeding him 10-12 crickets a day. Every day after I cover the crickets in some calcium powder. Would that subsitute for the UVB for at least a month, if not how many.

Thanks hoj for the greeting and the humidity rised and is staying around 50 % for now. All I did was move it to the middle thanks StickTongue and Hoj for the advise.

Welcome to the forums!

Sounds like you're off to a good start. I highly suggest you gettin a UVB bulb ASAP. Also be sure your chameleon is on a 12 hour light cycle. They need to cool down/sleep at night. Lights should go on at 7am and shut off at 7pm. (This is the cycle I use along with other members).

You should dust your crickets everyday with Calcium with NO D3 and multivitamins/Calcium WITH D3 2 times a month. My dusting schedule is calcium w/NO D3 everyday til Sunday. Sunday I'll dust with Multivitamin then start my week over. Next Sunday I'll dust with Calcium WITH D3, then repeat again. Should be easy enough to remember. Also be sure to use a proper GutLoad. I'm sure a member will drop a link for you to read up on, I'm currently on my phone so I'm all over the place with this comment :)

Not sure where you're located, but try to mist 3 times a day. I mist 4 times a day for 3 minutes each misting. lights on at 7am, mist at 9:30am, 12:30pm, 3:30pm, 5:10pm, then lights off at 7pm. My humidity is usually around 50-60% through out the day a good 80% the first hour after a good mist. Live plants also really help. You can also look up "Drippers" or "Rain Domes". These also provide great humidity boosters. Just be sure the enclosure is dried out before another good misting. Making i too humid can cause bacteria to grow, mold, and also your Cham can get a respiratory infection. Also be sure your little guy/girl is drinking enough water. A "rain dome" or "dripper" is also great for this. Chams don't drink still water, so it has to be constantly dripping.

Thanks !!!!

But im just wondering for the light. Can i use reptiglow or do i have to use reptisun. I think that reptiglow is also 5.0 uvb. The reason is that i have zoomed dual dome lamp and i see the the reptisun wont fit.
