how you do it?
I need to put it 3 times a day for my cham's right eye.
but, he always close his eyes when i about to drop the solution.
Any tips?

Just for info, there is a minor irritation in his right eye.. 2 days ago he close
and open his right eye often. Today he wipes it against the ficus branch.
I gave him a shower for 30 to 45 minutes. And he still closes his eyes (for 7 seconds or so).

And by the time i took him to the vet.. he just open it real wide
and when the doc leaves, he closes it again.
Seriously, this little guy find the pleasure in torturing me like this.
I am known as the 'paranoid' guy in the clinic.
Because my cham only displays symptoms when he's at home.

The doc says after he flush it with saline solution everything looks perfect.
and he prescribe me with gentamicin eye drops just in case.

He told me to come back if it still persist.

Thanks guys

Howdy,

I've used a fine needle syringe with ~0.2ml of Gentamicin held an inch away from the eye. Squirt it and hope for a good aim . It'll be in his eye before he gets it closed. Don't worry too much about how much makes it in the eye. Some is enough.

dang it! i'm pissed off real bad. It's been 2 hours.. this guy is impossible to treat.
When i hold him, he just automatically shut his eye off while struggling.
he stressed out and i'm stressed out.

now he bites too.. (he's been trying to bite the gentamicin cap).
this eye drop thing is definitely not working.

and to make things worse.. everytime i come, he automatically shut his right eye..
i don't know what am i gonna do with this cham.

this chameleon almost gave me a heart attack..
you know what he did to me, Dave?
He ram his head to the syringe.
Luckily i was quick enough to avoid him from jabbing himself.

Argh!
is there any other way? for today, i am not gonna bother administering the med anymore.
i'm just gonna give him the shower.

You should try getting him when hes sleeping. I used to get my chams eye easily at this time with antibiotic. If you just shine a light on him he'll open his eye then hit him.

Howdy,

I've also had good luck using the syringe method from as far away as 6" with success. You waste a lot getting the fine stream to eventually hit the eye but usually you get a lot in a bottle anyway.
