How to decrease humidity

So my daytime humidity is too high and I was wondering how to decrease It. I did the obvious like removing excess Foliage and moving his cage to a less humid part of the house. But it is still to high, I live near the beach in Southern California and this year for some reason its been more humid then it usually is (damn climate change lol). So I was wondering what you guys suggest I do my daytime humidity is in the low 60s to high 50s. I have a Jacksons Chameleon.

I'm having the same problem. This year is unusually humid. I'm running the air conditioner more than usual to remove some of the humidity from the house. They do make dehumidifiers and there are some crystals that absorb moisture you can buy but the Santa Ana's will be here soon and things should dry out, probably too much.

I know this year we've had some really weird weather in Southern California. Perfect I'll look into the crystals if the humidity doesn't go down. Right now I just have my window open and the ac running and I have shortened the duration of my misting.

I run a dehumidifier from 7am to 5pm to pull my humidity down to 45%. I can't get it any lower where I live in Northern Cali on the coast. If I do not run it then I end up with 70% and Beman has a heck of a time with the higher humidity levels.

That would make it more humid would it not?
It would allow you to control the humidity. If ambient humidity is low, we recommend closing sides of mesh cages with plastic. This would also allow you to lower the humidity in an enclosure when ambient is high. Less misting and including a fan to draw in moist air which will be absorbed by plants and soils. The heat from the lighting should dry the enclosure out. At least this is my theory.

During Spring I had to do the plastic wrap technique but for some reason in LA over the summer its been 60% humidity plus, this week where I live was in the 70s which is unheard of.

Exactly and the weird thing is last week I was in Cleveland visiting my parents and it was around 50% there, I heard its usually much higher. The whole country has had super weird weather this year.
