hi all,

Ive had my veiled cham now for 4 months and he is about 7 months old.

He used to come out on my hand but he HATES it now and is a right victor meldrew! As long as you dont touch him he doesnt mind you poking around in his viv.

I have just bought him another plant after he delecately pruned all the leaves off his hibiscus, think it looks like a mini jungle!

He is mid-shed at the moment.

Any suggestions on how to better his viv would be welcomed, im always looking at new things to add.

At the bottom i have newspaper so no substrate and i made the viv myself (very proud of it! lol)

Thanks for looking

that looks really nice. i didn't know you could have an open top set-up like that. is there a need to worry about escape with something like that? i've always wanted to try it, but have been hesitant.

looks a bit open.... I would try hanging a pothos or some fake plants from the top of the cage along the sides.

Can you take some pics of the lighting?

Over all, looks good.

i cant get pics of the lighting as my cameras rubbish and you just get a load of glair!
the uvb is a 10% tube and is hanging at the top at the back and the basking bulb is actually sat on top of the enclosure and is a 60w household bulb shining through the netting.
going to try and get some vines or something else for the top as i agree its a bit bare.

Overall not bad.

If your cham can get within 8" of the lamp he'll be fine. 10.0 is a bit high but if he has plants to find shade, he'll do alright.
