hunger strike or worse?

ok so today he ate 3 adult dubias, one locust and 2 mealworms !
he shed half way but i didnt see him pulling off his skin like 1st time !
it passed 12-13 hours since the lights where on and he is preparing to sleep!
he turns 6 months in 3-4 days !
i know babies should shed in hours or a day ! but at his age its ok to shed in 2 days or more?

I'd mist him heavily with luke warm water or give him a little showering to help loosen up the skin

i did that all day but he didnt remove it as usual ,as if he didnt bother him or as he didnt knew that he was shedding !
is this a concern ?

ok so in 2 days he barely sheded !
i hade some work to do and had to leave my home for 2-3 hours ! when i came back he was almost fully sheded ! just bits of the tail and toes left !
i mean cmmon i was 2 days at home watching misting like crazy, didnt sleep ,was so worried and when i left 2 hours ta-da! he is messing with me !
darn little one !

That is the pesky little chams we love. They just have to mess with us. But it is great to hear kiwi is ok.

yap im so happy :D he drinks like crazy ,he just wants molted dubia but ill wont give him anything a day or two and hopefully he will eat after that

Strange behaviour

ok so he wont eat - just wants mealworms or fresh molted white dubias !
he just wants to escape from the cage !
besides that after his shedding he is very active - climbs and walks a lot
he goes to the bottom of the cage and fires his tongue for dirt and river rocks - i dont know why !
nothing has changed in this cage - same temps, same fixtures, same dripper, same plant -everything !

he looks healthy but he just goes crazy for the rocks and dirt like never before !
i mean after 30 min of basking he just runs and i mean runs like crazy for the bottom of the plant !
and when i open his cage he just wants to escape wild free !

can he act like this becose of his lack of appetite and low quantity of food he ate the last 3 days ?

such a frenzy running mode in cage worries me

i use zoomed reptivite with d3-twice per month, repto life multivit -twice pe month, and jbl micro calcium daily!i gutload my dubias with oranges, carrots, apples, patatoes, cucumber!

Im not familiar with those supp brands, but the scheduling sounds correct.

The ratios of things can vary from one brand o another though.
Maybe someone with more knowledge could chime in on that.

Your gutloading isnt bad, but could use some work.
Im not privy to what all you have access to over there though.
I would recommend making a dry gutload using sandrachameleons blog.
As far as I know, potatoes and cucumber dont offer much nutrition.
So while they are safe to use(as far as I know) the crickets may fill up on them, and eat less of the "good stuff".

It sounds like a nutritional imbalance to me.
Erratic behavior is a sign of supp imbalances, and eating dirt could mean he wants the minerals that are in the dirt.

Does he do this even when food is available in the enclosure?

i will try to get a better gutload!yes he still does this with food in his cage!if anyone uses this brands of suplements pls get me an info about them!

For now, if there are rocks small enough for him to eat, remove them, and try to cover as much dirt as possible. A little dirt now and then is fine IMO(if its chem free dirt) but you dont want him eating too much at once, and getting impacted.

Also, at this point I feel it would be wise to fill out the form, just to cover everything. ;)

Current Problem - well he stopped eating 3 days ago when his shedding started !
the 1st day he ate nothing !
2nd day he ate 3 molted white duias, 2 mealworms ,and one canned locust (just wanted to see if he eats anything else)
3rd day - this means today he only wants to eat mealworms and white molted dubias !

The main concern is that today he was very active, basked for 30 mins and after that he just runs like crazy at the bottom of the cage and tries to eat dirt ! I have river rocks covering the dirt but he still finds a way to get some tiny quantities of dirt ! When i open the cage door he just runs to escape !
He did this like 6-8 times till now !

here are some pics i just took 5 min ago,he is basking!he still has some skin left to shed at the end of the tail

any advice how can i make him eat again? should i just let him be for 2-3 days and introduce the food again?
right now i ordered silkworms but they will come in 7-10 days !
what should i do till than? should i give him molted dubias or should i stop him feeding for the next 2-3 days ?

what do you think about the suplements ?
i dont want him to eat dirt anymore !

Going worse?

well its the 5th day and he still wont eat !
in 2 days he didnt eat anything ! he wont eat even mealworms or molted dubias as he did !
he still poops - normal ! he drinks a lot !
and he still goes to the bottom of the cage and tries to eat drit !
can someone help with with an advice ?
how long can they go without food ?
what should i to ?
