Hurt eye

My panther has a bad left eye as of today. I feel he can see barely put of it but not sure at all. Anyone know exactly what it could be or a good vet in San Diego? I had an ant problem a few weeks ago and there are still some in there after taking the plants out and re potting but I am worried they possibly could have messed with his eye.
I'd appreciate some help from the experts

Poor little man. Here's a vet that sees chameleons. I hope it gets better soon.

This certainly could be from ants. Ants tend to attack the eyes and can cause the damage you have here. I would also worry about vitamin A deficiency. Vitamin A deficiency leads to dry eyes due to nonfunctional tear glands. Vitamin A can also cause swelling due to changes in the nasolacrimal duct. Good luck and let us know what the vet says.

Sorry to hear the little guy is having issues. I have been to the vet in PQ...and to be honest wasn't very impressed. I actually didn't even see the doctor, so I can't comment on him. But his staff was incredibly rude. I live in Carlsbad so I'm in the area and there aren't any good reptile vets super close by. I've done a lot of research and my vet is now Dr. Jenkins at Avian & Exotic Animal hospital. It's in Mission Valley, which is a little bit of a drive, but he's top notch!

Thanks for the vet info, I had an appointment for Saturday but I read a post from Dave weldon on saline solution for contacts and gave it a shot over the course of a few hours. My last bit I was able to start seeing his pupil again and flushed it out enough where I could manuelly remove the black puss/bloody discharge. Thanks everyone and I'm glad he's looking better.
