Husbandry review please?

So i am new on here and i have already been dinged on some things and was told about the moss and my lighting. I have just ordered a t5ho and will be picking up tomorrow. I have 3 thermometers for the temp and humidity 2 are digital and one is with the needle deal just for a back up. Im also in the process of adding more branches. I originally had a reptibreeze 18x18x36 and i built him a new one that is just about 6 ft tall and 3 ft wide. He eats a mixture of crickets, waxs worms and horn worms. I have a reptirain for him and its set to run every 3 hours for 60 sec. Any other suggestions? He is very healthy and active. He just had a vet visit because i started him on super worms and he started acting funny so i got scared?? i stoped giving them to him and he has been fine ever since and the vet cleared him as completely healthy and his fecal sample came back great.View attachment 264887View attachment 264886

Reptirain sucks. Ideally you will mist for 2 minutes. I started with the Reptirain. It does not allow the right duration of misting. I started listening for it to go off so I could run over and restart it since it is only one minute. It is also more a spray than a mist.

Either way, i personally think every 3 hours is too often. See if you can keep the proper humidity at 1 minute every 6 or 12 hours... Right before lights on and right (I do before) after lights go off. Maybe on midday mist if he really needs it.

Ok so just to make sure i have read this correctly let it run before his lights go on in the morning and right before they go off in the evening?

I would delete your other thread so you don’t have answers all over the place.

Your cham is very handsome! Sounds like you’re headed in the right direction. Adding info about feeders and gut loads. What is your supplement regimen?

Thank you. He can be quite the show off sometimes?? i lightly dust with calcium and i give him a multivitamin. I will have to look at my calendar in my phone to give exact details. I have everything scheduled with alarms so i dont miss anything. I have owned many reptiles but never a chameleon. So he is like a baby for me?? i even have a wifi cam set up so i can see him when im working just to know all is well and i have peace of mind

Hey, if he’s got it he may as well flaunt it! ?
While there’s different ways to supplement, the basic is a calcium without D3 daily and then once every other week alternate calcium with D3 and a multivitamin. I‘m old school and use a paper calendar.
I need to get some wifi cameras one of these days so I can see what my chams are doing when I’m not around.

On my lunch break ill watch him and some of the things these guys do is pretty funny and interesting. Yes i always give him calcium without d3 daily. Calcium with d3 and his multi is what i keep in my phone so i dont mix everything up

What wattage should i get for my t5ho?

Ok soooooo.... 5.0 UVB or 6% UVB for the T5HO. If you are using a single or dual bulb fixture.

I would pull the moss out of the bottom. If he eats it then it is an impaction risk. Also add many more branches from about 9 inches below the top going down.
