I came home at 9pm and my chameleon was on the ground and he is extremely weak.

How is he this morning?
Turn off the coil uvb. You don't need both and some coil uvb bulbs can cause eye damage, burns and even death.
He pasted this morning. Sorry to respond so late. He never woke up for me to try anything and his colors were a clear sign of his passing.
To answer the other question, I got him from a reptile convention in my town for pretty cheap. He was probably a couple weeks old but I didn't realize that wasn't the best thing at the time. I've learned a lot from this expirience and hope to use it for better in the future.

I only had the strip on, the coil was off. The basking bulb was reflecting off of the inside of the lamp.
That's terrible to hear that some brands will blind them. What type and brand would you recommend?

Sorry to hear he's passed but I knew that would happen when I saw his photo. I hate to say it when I'm know in case there is a chance it can recover.
In my post above I said.... "The Repti-sun 5.0 long linear tube UVB light is most often recommended."....there was a lot of info to absorb so I'm not surprised that you missed it.

Yeah I recall it now that you mention it. I figured he wasn't going to make it as well, he looked so bad. You were a great help even though the outcome wouldn't have changed. Thank you and everyone else who tried helping.

Sorry for your loss. I'm glad you are using this as a learning experience.
Start with an older one next time from a reputable breeder and you will have better luck.

I don't think the animal died due to where it was obtained from. That said if you ignore me and just get another you may end up with the same results.

You had the animal long enough to where if it was a sick animal from a shitty breeder, it would have looked different in your pictures. Seriously evaluate your husbandry and in doing so you'll become a better keeper. We've all been there.
