I can't do this anymore!!

Lol yeah 1000 is a lot, mine are still medium size so only a few out of the bunch chirp. I don't mind it as much, it's more that the older they are it seems the smarter they are, and they more accurate their jumps are.

yeah I don't know why I did what I did. I just thought the younger the crickets were they die easily and since most of my chams are older now I can move on to bigger feeders. Next time medium size crickets and larger silkworms/roaches/hornworms lol. I have thousands of crickets, hundreds of superworms, wax worms, meal worms, and roaches. I need to get some more silkworms as we speak..

In you case try to put the crickets in a bigger tank. one side should be the egg cartons and other side food. They need a lot of space and ventalation. If you crammed 200 crickets in a small plastic container thats not going to do any good.

jeeze I can't do that,, i'm going crazy with a ten gallon viv full of 3/4 inchers for the bearded dragon and 5/8 inchers in a modified kitty litter bucket (the bucket the litter comes in) for the 2.5 month old cham.

Does anyone know of any good pics of silkworm enclosures?

this was also a good resource http://www.wormspit.com/bombyxsilkworms.htm

Wonderful... There goes my dreams of a cricket or roach free existence. I know owning a chameleon means crickets but I thought silkies were a way to have my cake and eat it too :(

You could try grasshoppers. Its been done!!!...I'll be attempting it soon hopefully.
