I just got a new baby beardie!!!

No on the compact... They are bad for all Herps...Actually bad for their eyes... You should use a Reptisun 10.0 for a Beardie. The level of UV emitted by those compact bulb is too intense to constantly expose a captive animal too, and over time you will start to have major eye issues.

You should go easy with the supers while she is young... Maybe one or two small supers, and the softer you can find the better, one that has just molted and is light in color... or a few small silk worms in her bowl with her salad... But be carefull with the prey size... You do not want them to become impacted.

just a temporary bulb i put it high above the cage so there is less of the prob. also i take her outside so she needs less uv lighting.

I think No UV temporarily is better than those compacts... There have been to many problems reptorted to even risk it at all...Taking shortcuts like that is not fair to the Beardie... You should do it right, or not at all IMO. There are bound to be days where you don't have time to take her outside, and only the Beardie suffers from it.. Why not just do it right from the begginging and save yourself the trouble... and save yourself the headache of having to deal with potential problems in the future... Do it right, the first time... Don't wait for $#!T to hit the fan... Then it is too late. Not trying to be a jerk...Just rying to help.

u know it. i think she is eating the pre made stuff right now. i got the juvenile dragon food by exo-terra. it is a complete diet and says that i dont need to use crix as a staple any more and use them as a treat. is that true?

I don't know about that... The activity of hunting crix is mentally stimulating to them... Always have live food as a staple.

for baby beardies its important they get a lot of protein in their diet so live food is better.. just leave the premade stuff in the cage and they will eventually start eating it.

my beardie loves squash peels. Also what kind of bearded dragon is it? but try kale its really cheap to, its only like a dollar per pound

I think 120 is a bit high. For a baby I'd shoot for 105-110. As she gets older she may like it cooler than that. Mine likes it about 100. I can get you to a good forum with lots of good info if you want.
