I think i got a fatty.

i buy my crickets from ghanns ive seen that chart. Ill just hold my hand near him o yeah and when hes pissed he looks WWWAAAAAYYYY fatter hehe. If my hand is near him the odds of him being pissed are high. lately hes been a lil more chill but i gave up on trying ot handle him since the jumping so he knows i wont do anything to him.

My little guy is about 4 mo's old & is already really pissy too. :D I've tried hand feeding him crickets before, but he would still always puff, hiss & at least look as though he would try to bite me. Guess the crickets weren't appealing enough for him.... Yesterday I put a small superworm on my hand & he forgot about being mad & ate it in a hurry! I don't want to overdo it with the superworms, but I may keep doing this a few times a week so he can build up some trust with me. Will only give him the worms by hand so he associates me with really tasty stuff.

Mine also eats light a freight train. I've been giving him about 15 smallish crickets a day or so as well. Fat at night, "strechy" in day.... pissy little buggar! Sounds just like yours! lol

Hahaha...I don't have a pissy cham so I don't know what it's like but mine hates supers (I don't know why???) and everyone else's loves them..they just all have their own personalities..LOL!

sweet

yeah monkey sounds like our chams would be friends. i just tried ot take a pic of him but the flash woke him up and the picture quality was crap and i am no way gonna wake him up again. its 2.5 hours past his bed time. ill send a pic tomorrow. he is WAY more colorful at night

Why not use a stick to gently get him out of the cage, and pad the area where he will be above and take some pictures with a ruler or something in the picture? No lost fingers, and if he falls he's cushioned.

15 small crickets is not, IMHO, too much for a 6 month old chameleon. Its still growing. The temperature of the cage will also play a role.

You may want to consider offering some variety, if its currently only getting crickets.
