Hi Guys!!! I'm from Bayamon, Puerto Rico. I am a begginer girl with a 2 months old veiled chameleon. Hope you guys read this and help me through my journey with my new friend. I'm still learning i had a ball python. Now i have my little charlie :):D

Wow! that's a lot! i think mines a male but im not sure! this is the first night he/she is with me. Tomorrow i'll go to buy pinheads and plants tonight im just reading and reading cuz i want it to be happy and healthy and im really nervous because i know this is not for beginners (i read that all over websites... including petsmart) but i'll work hard to keep him or her safe my profile pic is actually the first one that i took from it :)

ok the biggest thing I can stressto you is enjoy this..its suppose to be fun not a worry. get your 5.0 uvb or hang a mercury vapor light so you get the uva uvb and heat all the same time but it cannot be to close to that little guy. he should not be in a large cage yet..you want him to find his food. pin heads will work but petsmart should have a flightless fruit fly culture they sell loaded with living flies. that will work great or you could also simply sit a piece of fruit in the cage somewhere and in a few days like magic you have real flying fruit flies just don't let the fruit spoil. keep his cage 80 degrees no hot spot yet and a dripper made from a large power aid container with a pin hole in the bottom and top. that's as close to a semi self contained habitat your little guy will love. remember lots of small branches and shaded places to hide..good luck

Thanks for the link Decadancin and Thanks to your advices ChamaleonsbyVanGogh. I'm actually using a combo uvb uva lights 25W from Exo terra. Im from a tropical island so is not to difficult for me to keep the humidity and temperature in the correct place. Now is 70% humidity and 80 degrees Farenheit. Im a little concern that its too hot.. is too hot?. I have him in a 20 gallons glass aquarium for now but i'm actually bulding a reptarium in screens, I started today. This is his/her second night at home. My little nephew called him Pascal like Rapunsel's Cham. LOL!

Do you have any pictures? I would love to see him or her. Also no substrate and is the tank he is currently in an exo terra?

No he/she just have moss and plants. Just a common 20 gallons aquarium with screen lid (im working on another all-screen cage) i have him there because he's too tiny. And for feeding him I'm giving him/her 7 to 10 pinhead crickets with calcium supplement.

there's two photos from Facebook

Welcome to the forums! Yes, as soon as you can get your chameleon out of the fish tank please do so! They are not made for chameleons! Also 7-10 pinheads is not enough food. Try feeding like 20-25 a day if it is little baby. Your pictures did not show up.

Thanks Sandra and Carol thanks... the person who give it to me said that he was giving him/her 7- 10 pinheads but i was thinking the same i'll give him/her the amount that you say.

Also how can i count the pinheads? where i can put them. I dont know if a "normal" cage for crickets like the ones that i saw on the store (plastic box from Walmart with the lid in Screen) is good for pinhead because they are so tiny Im not sure if they can jump that much and escape through the holes of the screen.

here the links for the pictures. (i'm still learning how to use the forum :D)
