im sad

Thanks, glad someone atleast understands where i'm coming from. Just this entire situation doesn't seem right at all...Also i don't understand how her grandma is ill, but spends all this money on chameleons when she could fix her car. It's a bit selfish in my eyes. Anyways, i tried to help. No need to keep stating my opinions.

I really hope your chameleon gets healthy and happy soon, and that you do the best you can to take care of her. Good luck

-Gabe.

Shes got cancer dude
My personal problems have nothing to do with what's going on.... I'm at the vet now...
Ill let y'all know what happens.. and the chameleon I buy aren't expensive..... so I don't have all this money going into them. Other than food vet visits.. and cages ect. And that doesn't even matter... nothing at all matter except my cham... but thanks. Like j said ill let y'all know.. they just called us in...

I can see this thread getting ugly so I wont say much but good luck with your cham.

Thanks... I'm trying. And I know everybody is good at taking care of them... I get it how I should have done my reaserch but last thing I need is negativety I just wanted help ... they are in the back with her right now... I'm already upset about this Iso why ppl would want to make me feel worse... when. Its about a chameleon... not me .. my car... my Gma... food.... who did the laundry last..... idk ... but thanksss I hope she gets better too

First and foremost I really hope she gets better and the vet can help you, there is plenty of time to think things through after. If you don't mind me saying.... It might sound like people are attacking you but in life it's the advice that we dont want to hear that can help us the most wether we chose to take it or not.

I hope all goes well, fingers crossed keep your chin up

All this stuff is being brought up because you brought it up in the first place. Your own thread talked about you can do nothing and letting your cham die in peace and how excited you are about your new "panther" chameleon.

You're contradicting yourself. Allot of these members feel the same way and they've been on these forums for years.

And yes, i do care about the chameleon. If i didnt, then why would i give you advice on my original comment? And why even bother commenting. I even said i wasn't trying to bash you, troll, or anything. I just don't understand your entire posts. Makes 0 sense to me, but keep updating us on the cham. And also you're getting mad at the forums for something we can't even help you with. You said you tried getting help on here but no luck? You've been told plenty of times a vet visit would help and some photos. We never got photos. Again, you're contradicting yourself. Now you're at a vet. Even a highly recommended member/vet on this site called the vet you've been talking about and you said he's not availble all week. Well he called and said he's there with no problems? I don't get it.

This will be my last comment. I'm sorry, just i wish the best of luck with you and your cham.

Cheers.

I understand what everyone is saying in this thread the first thing that should be addressed is her Cham you guys sitting there getting angry and pissy over other things isn't gonna help. So instead of saying things that arnt helpful shut it and keep it on topic.

I just wanted help.. I don't want her to die idk y ppl are saying that

Hope your chameleon pulls through. One thing I would like to say about "expensive" is not the initial purchase of the chameleon, it is all the care (such as what you are doing right now at the vet) feeders, lighting changes, supplements, gutload products etc that make keeping a chameleon a very expensive hobby in my book.

things happen the people in this thread got all huffy because thing thread got off topic and turned in to a storm of pure stupid just focus on your Cham and making sure she is ok the thing that matters now is that your trying to get her fixed up.

Thank u btw

no problem.

Got an x ray.. shes not egg bound.. blood idk yet have to waitt but He said its more than likely a lung infection from her being in a glass cage when she was at the petstore
He gave me antibiotics and said try them it might be too late since it looks like she had had it. A long time but had no obvious signs until recently. That reptiles will not show side effects until its bad. I showed him pictures of my cage. He said it was not my cage. Or lighting that I did all I could. I just have to get her on the antibiotics and hope she gets better or they have to put her to sleep if the antibiotics don't work and the blood comes back with the same sickness

I'm headed home. ^ THAT ISNT WORD FOR WORD but a little of what he thinks is going on

well that is good she is not eggbound. Did he say why he thought a lung infection? Was she having trouble breathing? I forget how long have you had her? Also what anti biotic did he prescribe? Is this a vet that is familiar with chameleons? Sorry to ask so many questions!

Baytril or something. Ive had her about 4 months. In November will be 4 months She was at the petstor for about 2 months. She was weak not moving drinking eating breathing hard eyes closed. He said she sounded like there was a lot of fluid.. I'm just going to give her this and pray it works ive heard good and bad things about this antibiotics

I've used Beytral a few times successfully. It's important to give her plenty water if she will take it. Good luck.

4 months is a really long time to have an infected lung with no symptoms until now. I don't think it's fair to blame the pet store if you've had her for that long. Along with treatment it's really important to find out the actual cause of the illness and put it right. Otherwise you have no chance of curing her and giving her a happy healthy life. I truly hope she gets better, I love chams and have a huge soft spot for female veileds because I have one of my own. She's my first and although it's not been perfect I am proud to say that after six months I am doing all I can to keep her happy and healthy with everything I'v learned here on the forum.

You are getting another chameleon which people will advise against because you are having troubled with your first one. I understand you've done research but don't you think you should fix the first Cham up before possibly taking on more than you can handle? 2 sick chameleons will be time consuming and expensive!

And a kind word of advice from one noob to another is that these people know what they're talking about so listen and take heed or people may not be so generous with knowledge the next time you have a problem and want answers :)

People are not hating on you, they are simply giving you advice and are confused because you keep changing your story. The people that have responded to you in this way are the ones that have been keeping chams for a long time and can actually help you, the ones that are agreeing that you're being hated on are mostly new inexperienced members.

Sometimes the truth hurts and nobody here is tryin to hurt you! Just because you don't want to hear it doesn't mean people are being nasty. You've started a lot of threads with conflicting info so I can understand why you and the ones trying to help you are confused!

It tates awful so it is ashame she is not eating, as it is much easier to give injected into a feeder. Well, don't give up, you never know that she might pull through. I am not sure what bad you have heard but it is usually what is prescribed for respiratory infections.

angie, I was not going to say anything but you are right. If she just had the chameloeon for a few weeks I would say it could have been brewing at the petstore. Having the chameleon for 4 months, I am sorry to say more than likely it has happened in her care. Brittany we need to know exactly how you are keeping your chameleon. If she dies and you go on to care for the panther in the same manner, it could happen again. Something was awry in your set up that probably caused it.
