im sad

It tates awful so it is ashame she is not eating, as it is much easier to give injected into a feeder. Well, don't give up, you never know that she might pull through. I am not sure what bad you have heard but it is usually what is prescribed for respiratory infections.

I looked it up and some ppl said that it made them have jaw rot.. I'm going to try because that what I was gibing so its obviously ok since they use it and thank u

Baytril may be given for mouth rot, but does not CAUSE it to my knowledge.

4 months is a really long time to have an infected lung with no symptoms until now. I don't think it's fair to blame the pet store if you've had her for that long. Along with treatment it's really important to find out the actual cause of the illness and put it right. Otherwise you have no chance of curing her and giving her a happy healthy life. I truly hope she gets better, I love chams and have a huge soft spot for female veileds because I have one of my own. She's my first and although it's not been perfect I am proud to say that after six months I am doing all I can to keep her happy and healthy with everything I'v learned here on the forum.

You are getting another chameleon which people will advise against because you are having troubled with your first one. I understand you've done research but don't you think you should fix the first Cham up before possibly taking on more than you can handle? 2 sick chameleons will be time consuming and expensive!

And a kind word of advice from one noob to another is that these people know what they're talking about so listen and take heed or people may not be so generous with knowledge the next time you have a problem and want answers :)

People are not hating on you, they are simply giving you advice and are confused because you keep changing your story. The people that have responded to you in this way are the ones that have been keeping chams for a long time and can actually help you, the ones that are agreeing that you're being hated on are mostly new inexperienced members.

Sometimes the truth hurts and nobody here is tryin to hurt you! Just because you don't want to hear it doesn't mean people are being nasty. You've started a lot of threads with conflicting info so I can understand why you and the ones trying to help you are confused!
My story hasn't changed... I never knew what was wrong with her that is why I was guessing if it could be a hunger strike or she was gravid... or mbd but all that's ok. The doc said what was wrong and y.... but thanks

And I'm having trouble with her because she "was sold to me sick at two months old" is what he said not me so plsssss dint think I'm blaming anyone

if the cham was at the pet store for two months and you have had her for 4 months your chameleon is probably about 8-9 months old as they dont get to the petstores sooner then 2-3 months old as far as i can tell and have heard from petsore owners in my area.

She was an inch when I bought her

Maybe one of our two vets will weigh in on the situation. You are saying that you were sold an animal with a lung infection and not until 4 months later any of the symptoms showed, correct?. I am not sure if that is possible. Let's see what the vets have to say. I am not a vet but I did not think something like that would take that long to show any symptoms. Just trying to make sure you next chameleon will not fall ill to something in your set up or care.

they can still get lung and respiratory infections in screen enclosures. We need to know your misting schedule, dripper what you kept your temps and humidity at etc. what time of day did you mist and how for long?

Highly, highly unlikely that a delicate 2 month old was ill and has not died or shown any signs of a infection festering for another 2-3 months until literally two days ago. Respiratory infections can be a result of a number of different things, even in screen cages.

I get it how I should have done my reaserch but last thing I need is negativety I just wanted help ... they are in the back with her right now... I'm already upset about this Iso why ppl would want to make me feel worse... when. Just stay positive. I have got shitloads of help off of this forum. Nobody knows you personally! So they dont know your situation or what your going though. Just stay focused on whats important now. There are alot of cham owners on here that wont judge your situation. We all love our pets, and some members will let their personal feelings conflict with what this site is for, and thats for Chameleon owners to have a place to chat and network with other members because we all share the same interest! This is not a bad place, please dont run off from this site thinking everybody is bashing you. When I read your OP I noticed you said you were getting a panther. THen I was like somebody is going to attack that!! Just dont worry about it! This is a good forum, the only one I can find with this much info! Most are here to help. Good luck with your cham!
