im sad

She has been acting different the last month. I thought she was gravid... or a hunger strike but. Now shes just laying there ... I'm just going by what he said ill try the mess and see how they help if that vet spent work ill try another

brittany you came her looking for help and we are trying to help you. Our vet just gave her opinion and I have seen so many chameleons on here with infections and what not and they usually do not take 4 months(or even 3) to start showing symptoms. You might just need to take a good hard look at your set up and what you have been doing and maybe come to the realization that you might have caused your chameleons illness. You may save the life of your future chameleon by doing so...

Do u have a cell phone I can send a video to so u could have a better opinion from seeing it

My dripper stays at a drip constant. I mist 2-4 x every day... my humidity is low 80s high 70 I mist once in morning and afternoon and evening then before bed maybe more

I never mist past 3pm so that the cage is dry as they sleep maybe that's the problem.

yes, but I really would rather have you post it on here and let everyone see it. You would be better off getting various opinions. You should fill out the ask for help form in the health clinic section also. I saw you picture you posted of her on 1o/2 on another thread. She looked great. That is thing with chameleons they can look great one day and in two days be dead. We are trying to tell you that for you to have her three to four months and for her to have been "ill" all this time are probably slim to none. There is something that has transpired in your care. Sometimes they can just die and for no apparent reason. If yours has a lung infection, most likely something caused it, damp conditions, mold too much humidity etc.

On my statistics it shows her on the 4th. Which isn't long ago she looked fat so I thought she was gravid but she isnt

like I said if you tell us EXACTLY how your chameleon was cared for we might be able to prevent something else happening to your future chameleon. As far as misting, you don't want to mist late, you don't want to mist too much as the cages needs to dry out. Damp conditions can cause mold and bacteria which can lead to infection. There has been members on here whose chameleons have had respiratory infections and their chameleons lived in screen cages just so you know.

You're grammar and wording sucks. And you're not getting anywhere. You keep repeating and contradicting yourself. Answer our simple questions and don't get another Cham. Sorry if I sound rude but the way you are going about this sucks as bad as your typing

SHes been in a 18x18x24 screen cage with live plants a reptifogger 5.0 uvb basking bulb. Just started feeding her calcium without d3 not too long about. About 2 months ago.. hive her calcium with d3 once or twice a month. I handle her when I clean cage once a week I. Had her o. A money tree which I read was ok for chams because I thought her cage being so small was making her stressed and just got in my 100 gallon. I feed her crickets and meal worms I use.i repti bark for a substrate

Deprivation for a substrate

how often were you running the reptifogger and for how longh? you were doing this on top of the misting right. How often do you mist and for how long? What time of day? What is deprivation? have no idea. Did it stay wet all the time if you were misting alot like you said you were??

In the morning for a couple hrs

what was the purpose of just running it in the morning? How high would it bring the humidity up? What was your humidity readings daily??? you did not answer about your misting schedule. That bark could have been part of your problem. I am sure the wood got wet and never fully dried out. Don't use substrate anymore. Also wet wood breeds bacteria.

Maybe it is the substrate causing the problem?? It is not recommended to use substrate, especially with Veileds, as it can cause impaction. Remove the substrate asap and just use a papertowel as substrate. I hope she pulls through for you, but please consider waiting to get anohter until she gets better and your setup is 100% accurate. Panther care is different from veiled care, although similar. I really hope she pulls through...

I turn on the lights at 7 and I turn on the humidifyer around 10 then since it was dry from the morning ..after its off I just mist tow to three times... I checked the bark .. its damp I'm more than possitive u r right I'm changing it right now

I'm taking it out now. The guy I'm getting him from wont let me have her until I'm ready anyways he knows the situation too. Thanks for helping at first people weren't telling me Tess thing they were just upset I couldn't get to a vet which is understandable. But I did see the vet and now that I know the problem it will not happen again
