Insect breeding???

Dubia Roaches! I just started breeding my own coming up on 2 weeks ago. I had a bunch of questions at first, but now that I have the basics down, its coming along very well. Plus they have more meat and nutritional value than crix and other feeders. They breed really fast (once you got the right set up for them). Search engine dubia threads (there's millions I'm sure). What kinda cham you have?

I have a Panther. I don't know where I can get those. It sounds like something I would like to do.

lol but say u droped one and it was a fast booger under the under the couch she gose it would be a mess tearing up the place to find a roach

My wife is like hell no!:D
LMAO!!
My boyfriend and I have friends over alot that freak the f*** out over it. We really enjoy watching them scream and freak when they find a loose crick, superworm or other creepy crawly lurking around on the floor. The funny thing is, out of all the insects and stuff we have in the house, the dubias are the only ones that have never gotten free.

Just tell your wife this: the ones that do get free, she can be assured they will have a far worse death wether it be by chameleon jaws of doom or the garbage disposal. lol, tell her, she can choose the penalty:D

I dropped a tub of about 20 Dubia roaches last week, they were all too slow to run away.

Just call them beetles. My mom didn't want me to have them, but then she sawthey looked like beetles and she didn't mind as much. She still won't touch them, but she doesn't mind when I hold them or show them to her. At temps lower than 75 degrees they don't really breed, so even if one got out, it wouldn't infest the place.

Till summer time. Then they will breed all over the place. You think your wife, husband, girlfriend, or boyfriend nibbeling on your ear and find out it is a Dubia. ;)

I wouldn't let the cats or dogs near the cham... Or bugs for that matter. Maybe your cat will catch any that do escape! My friend's cat does and now they dont really see crickets or bugs loose in the house at all. Your dog may even join in the fun!

i agree with the dubia's....i breed them and they are not that bad...i also bought silkworm eggs and hatched them out...it can get pricey but its fun and they are good for them....check out mulberry farms...you can get 2,000 eggs for 20 bucks..you would need an incubator as well...
