Interesting Raiden Faly

Now this is a good discussion. I have no regrets for the babies that he produced. People still want his babies even with the occasional one ending up like this. He still is and always will be my favourite whatever he was.

lol anything is possible, i got a cahoua crested gecko cross from newyork, i liked him so much i brought him home (which was retarded, but i was like 14). he is still one of my most prized, yet odd reptiles

oh canny hooked me up with a mits.... but the way she is still living with me and doing great... i dont know if shes ever leaving LoL
 
man, just afew monthes ago i couldnt see a hint of red, and now he looks like the texas chain saw massacre. I completely forgot about that mitsio, how is she doing. Thanks again for the dubias, they ive got 2 tubs full of nymps, IM RUNNING OUT OF BUG BURGER

By "the board" I am talking the Chameleon Forums.
What part did you not understand the gene pool genetic isolation part or the part about if it doesn't look like a locale it isn't that locale.
I am sorry but I have way to heavy of a background in macro biology and gene expression to be swayed by non science based arguments.


Let's put this easy. You have a human couple, lets say Asian and they have LOTS of kids and every once in a while the wife pops out a baby that looks African all the other ones look Asian but this one looks different. Would you suddenly say wow genes are strange she must of had some different genes that are getting expressed here? Or would you get a genetics test and figure she stepped out on the marriage? Or maybe it's diet. She must be getting a different diet that is causing these babies to look different.


In science we like to say that the simplest hypothesis is the best hypothesis till proven otherwise. So in this case the simplest is: If it looks like a cross, it must be a cross, until proven otherwise.
 
ahh she is great!! total sweetheart, her owner was supposed to come get her awhile ago but has had some issues so i have been enjoying here :).
the roachs sure cant eat.

Good looking Cham either way. But if you were to breed him and sell, would you advertise as "raiden and nala" lineage?

just curious clark but what if both parents have a parent that is of african heritage and roots but they ( the children ) look asian, then would it not be possible for the odd babie to look african in decent.

Well since you are a science man like myself and you definitely know more about genetics than I do I will go with it, I will say this guy is a cross

So saying that and based on opinions of the many experienced, as much as I regretfully must state that the Raiden and Nala line would have to be unpure. You have to admit though some of those crosses had more of an impact than alot of pure falys did.

Sorry...but nope! Doesn't work that way. Now, eye color maybe, but not skin color. And more what I was talking about was general expressed genetic isolated traits. Asians have very straight hair while Africans have curly hair...etc. Not JUST skin gut basic characteristics of the race.
