This is Wiley; he's about 4 months old. I've had him 3 weeks and am keeping him in a free range setup with numerous large plants (lemon, avocado, pomegranate, ficus) and a 175w MH 6500K bulb with reptisun 5.0 UVB to supplement the UV spectrum.
He'll take bugs offered straight from my hands and I've been slowly shaping him to walk onto my hand before shooting the bug out of my other- to get him socialized to me. With lots of tasty, gut loaded variety of feeders and his tremendous food motivation its fairly easy- but hard to be patient and slow moving enough for Wileys comfort. Struggling to get him to drink from pipette consistently so am using a dripper (from a rigged up IV bag!).
Any other folks in New England keeping panthers?? Rare feeders (katydids, mantids, grn banana roaches, stick bugs)?? I'm hoping to get some ghost mantids soon.
