Ya gotta start 'em out right from the beginning!

Marriage is compromise. When my Missus & I were starting out, we made an agreement. I could keep reptiles (lizards & turtles, but NO SNAKES!) but they were entirely my responsibility to take care of (unlike the dogs, cat, hamsters, cavies, & rabbit, which were all shared pets). Sensing a pattern here yet? It's fur vs. scales!

It took years, but I finally got her to pose for a picture (at a Zoo Day function) with an 8-9 ft. boa constrictor draped over her shoulders. She even forced out a nervous smile! :ROFLMAO:

Now that I'm fulfilling my life-long dream (now bucket list) of a real chameleon (instead of just green anoles) she's coming around a bit further. She'll hold the bearded dragon now (that took 6 months)! :p

She says she likes chameleons 'cuz they're S—L—O—W...

lol at my rate of growing dragons, feeder bugs, inverts and other animals, I'm never going to get to start anyone lol, just toss em into the abyss:unsure:

problem most people have is the fact that I don't keep anything with fur so at that point it isn't fur vs scales, its just scales:LOL:

Time was, many women wanted a diamond and a fur coat.
Now that fur is... a definite no-no, maybe they're living vicariously through their furry friends? :p
