Is a giant vivarium, 36"x18"x48" ok to house 2 panther chameleons?

Is it possible to house two chameleons together if they have enough space to hide from each other etc?

We have a male and a female panther chameleon and we're wondering if this is safe/kind/possible or not.

Nope. Two Males will fight each other and it would be even worse to keep a female and male together. The male will want to mate and the female may not and it could end up killing her. The only time the male and female should be introduced to each other is to breed and then if they do, they need to be separated. On rare occasions two males will be friendly to one another, but it is not the norm.

Not recommended to house two chams together, they will stress each other out big time, and if you were to you'd need an enclosure about 4-6 times larger than that one. that one isn't even the proper size for one. Minimum recommended enclosure size (per cham) is 24"X24"X48"

18x36x48 is bigger than 24x24x48 lol I have my male panther in the iguanarium, and he uses pretty much all of it. I have my Jackson in a 24x24x48 because her nails are small enough to fit through the screen with out getting snagged or caught. The iguanarium is 3 18x18x36in repti breezes stacked on their side. But I would recommend housing them separately, the risks out weigh what benifits there are.
