Is it an Egg?

The most common sign from my reading is her gravid colors. That's how everyone can tell that it's time to lay. If she's staying dark she needs to, maybe try different bins until she finds one she likes.

I placed her in another cage where their is a lot planta and their is laying bin too because my other female Rosita mated on 9/30 so now she is turning black and she is getting big too

Yay for two chubby panthers XD I hope your other female lays easier for you

I placed her in the big laying bin instead, I dont know if Lucy mated with my boy since I bought her, I placed her with my boy and their were no fighting but the next day she was turninv black and open her mouth warning the male dont get near her and since then I seperated them and she is the one is that giving me a hard time.

I can be up to 3 to 4 months sometimes even longer that they can retain sperm. My laying bin it is shallower . But I Mound it up higher. put a fake plant off to the side in the Bin. Sometimes they seem to like that

well, I placed a plant in the big laying bin and swap them back. so now Lucy is back in the big bin with the plant and now she is gravity black color in their so I place her their since today at 10 am and she is on one of the branches. I had to switch her because Rosita found a way to get out of the large bin and found her basking on the worm feeder at the top of the cage. I have not see Lucy get on the dirt yet so I am going to wait until tomorrow and also I place a black plastic on top so she won't see any shadow moving around and have isolation of any movement but she has plenty of air flow.

Just keep it up I know it's a rough time. Stinks when you think something could happen to them. I know how you feel:)(y)

Thanks for all the help, I want to start off right. I was buy a box of crickets today and spoke with my reptile guy that he buys Panther chameleons and with that conversation he said to make sure the majority to be males they have to be above 83 degrees Fahrenheit, is that True?

I keep mine High seventies drop it after a few months. And then right before I think they're going to hatch raise it back up to the high 70s. It's all trial by fire. You need to find out what works best for your climate and where you have them. The higher temperature is more males. But also less eggs hatch. Just on my observations. It takes a while to find out what works

That's the fun part I think

That's a egg, I have a female that will drop a egg the day before she lays.
i have a year old panther , took her and male vield to vet 6 weeks ago and vet said in about a month panther will be laying eggs , I heard chams stop eating before they lay eggs, I have never felt eggs in her belly but she is big bellied , she goes to laying bin for a short time, maybe 1 minute the most and that's it ,,,any other info would sure help

When I used to breed panthers and veilds I used to use x-large critter keepers in the bottom of the cage for a laying bin. I would remove the top and I would fill it with sand/soil mix just about an inch or so below the rim of the container and place it in the cage. I have never had a panther or veild not use this laying bin as it gives depth and length. For the most part they would always seem to lay in the corners and you could see the eggs through the clear sides of the critter keeper.

Now Lucy laid another signel egg next to her poop again, this how I found her and this is how I have her, she had conplete privacy 24hr and the resulted a singel egg ontop of the soils with sand.

Just keep it up that happens to mine. Sometimes you can find them just littered all over the cage. Just make her comfortable make sure she's drinking keep up the good work. Don't get discouraged.(y) if she starts getting lethargic then think about a visit 2 the vet . because she might B binded. But someone else will give you some advice on that because I think they over medicate a lot of the times. and I know a lot of you out there I'm not going to like that statement haha:LOL:. Just keep us updated hoping everything works out for you(y)

Yeah I am going to keep her their undisturbed and I will keep misting every 4 hours.

How's she doing?

She has not laid any eggs after the third one and she is very active, I think the person that sold me this female did not realized she was laying eggs or he did not want to tell me she was laying eggs on the moment. I placed her today into the other cage. Also the last egg she laid started to get mold in the incubator after a week so I threw it away.
