Hello everyone i have asked advice before i dont feel i got the correct answer that im looing for.

I have a male veild chameleon who is 7months old and is a big boy (pictures below) he had been acting very abnormal this week.

He hasnt eat in 8 days but has taken 3 waxies today. I usualy feed them locus, crickets. I have 6 feeders in total. All gutloaded and dusted with repashys calcium plus.

Also when he sees me he panics and shrinks and hides behind his vine. Hes usual bright and beautiful but recently he is dark and brown.

Nothing has changed to his viv. His basking spot is 83-85 and gets three misting sessions aday.

He has no symptoms of uri.

I have also caught him paceing around his viv walking in floor, hanging from ceiling walking in circle.

Only thing i can think could be problem is he is in a Large repti breeze viv, is he ready for a XL viv if not when is he ready?

Is my cham ok

It bothers me a bit that it was 8 days since he ate...not sure why that would be.
Has anything in his environment changed or in the room?
At seven months he is likely reaching maturity and may be looking for a mate.

I have had moments with males where they reach the 8-12 month mark and around the right time of the year hormonal males have this wandering instinct for a few months and have less interest in food...? Maybe your guy is the same? Have you tried free ranging at all for maybe an hour at most in the beginning and seeing if it helps?

Randel (make veild) i forgot to mention had his first sperm sack the other day.

He never touches live plants.

I used to free range him untill i got a female veild 2 months ago who is doing amazing :).

Sounds like he's being a moody maturing man

I don't really see a reason to be alarmed in your post... I know you will still be, I am always extra observing when my cham doesn't want to eat a while...

When my daughter doesn't want to eat I get mad, when cham doesn't want to eat I get worried.
