is this a good or extremely bad idea?

Honestly I could see myself end up having more then one once I get going and even breed them possibly. I have been doing a lot of reading and research and making sure I will be able to handle them and have been so into them and I don't even own one yet haha.

I am going to do about 6 months of extensive research on chameleons before deciding to breed. i will also ask local breeders and reptile stores for info on stock and how fast i sells. at the end of the day im not doing it for money but for the enjoyment. im willing to give them to my local reptile store for free.

I would probably do the same thing but I would have to find a store near me with people I like that I would give them to. The store close to me doesn't seem like bad people but from what I have read on this forum stores don't seem like the place to go for chams and I would want to make sure my babies went to a good person to find a good forever home. There are just not that many stores near me and I do not have a single person I know that owns chams.

If you have money to burn it's a great experience. I know you aren't looking to make a living at this but it's unlikely you will make much of your money back. Breaking even can take years.

im gonna try out geckos first. get used to breeding on my own. also that is the truest sentence ever. preach!
