Is this basking light ok?

Right now my male veiled is in a 18x18x36 cage. I've been using 40w and 60w bulbs up to this point.

I'll be moving him to a 24x24x48 enclosure soon. I got some 100w (72w) bulbs, and they're obviously much brighter than the ones I've been using. My question is, will the bright light hurt his eyes, or no?

For reference, here's the bulbs I got. Are these ok, or would you guys/gals recommend something different?

I use a 5.0 UVB light and a 50w for basking in my 24x24x48. 100w is really high for a cham. What are you temps at the basking spot? Also make sure the UVB light is 8" from the cham and the basking bulb is 12" from cham to avoid thermal burns.

I know for the UVB if you go higher than 5.0 is a bulb it can cause blindness. Any higher should be a tube light.

Oh, I definitely use a linear bulb for UVB. Right now I use the 10.0 Reptisun (plenty of shade in my enclosure), and plan on getting an Arcadia setup when they're back in stock.

I think your on the right track with the 10 UVB. I have 8 chams one veiled. The Veiled likes warmer temps for basking. They are not tropical chams they are found in Yemen mid east etc etc. BUT 100w basking bulb one inch away from him and it sounds like you can invite me over for dinner. I dont believe a 100 watt bulb is only putting out 80 degrees at one inch away. I have some high bulbs but use dimmers on them. I would really double check the 100 watt spot. AGAIN! Honestly that is odd unless its a cfl and say equiv to 100 watt but I dont think the cfl would put off that much heat.

The bulb is 1" away from the screen top, not the basking spot. Also, the bulb says energy efficient. It's 100w, but uses 72w. Does that make a difference?
