Fixture and it's a 25 UVB t8 fluorescent bulb
And it's 18 inches is that ok for the the sun
Light or d3 plz let me know I did have a swirly
Balb befor thanks

yeah it is ok to use. There are others using them on here. I use the reptisun 5.0 tube. Make sure there is no plastic piece covering the light! i just was reading someone on here that bought the light with the fixture and it had the plastic(like an aquairum light). This will block out your uvb completely. That is if you bought the fixture that comes with that light.

I think you should take out the tinfoil, just for the potential problems it could cause. The light and fitting you have should work just fine by itself
(as carol says, take off the plastic if there was any)

I'm thinking possible electrical problems, maybe over heating, it can set on fire, or at least make enough smoke and heat to spark a fire. I'm sure it's unlikely, but why tamper with the manufactured product?

I added aluminum foil/reflective duct tape to my fixture. It's for an aquarium. I really can't tell if it made much of a difference, but I feel more comfortable with it on it. I haven't had any problems. Just make sure you don't put it on any of the "important parts" inside the fixture.

That bulb should be fine but keep in mind that uvb wares out but the light will keep producing light. Most manufacturers recommend replacing the the bulb no more than every 6 months. You can spend $250 on a good uvb meter to know exactly when to replace your bulb if you want but that's an expensive upgrade to get.

The UVB In those Zila bulbs typically wear out in 3-4 months so if I were you I'd swap it out after 4 months. The zoomed bulbs last longer and cost the same, those I swap out every 6 months. I barrow my buddies meter and have had zoomed bulbs last 9 months. Arcadia brand bulbs only need to be swapped out every 12 months but typically cost more.
