Is this MBD?

ALthough I agree that Ivan has supreme chameleon experience and I would drive and see him myself if I needed to, I also have a really good Vet here in Clearwater that I use regularly.

Would save you a ton of gas and a 2 hour drive!

Usually $40 for a visit.

You could call and ask. I always take my two together and buy additional stuff such as gutload, vitamins and calcium while I'm there but it's usually under $100 except when Luie had bloodwork.

Okay, thanks! I'll call tomorrow and make an appointment (hopefully for tomorrow) and I'll let you guys know what he says.

So, I took Reggie to Orlando Tuesday morning. Ivan was great and really seemed to know what he was doing.

He said he looked perfectly healthy everywhere else and that it's definitely not MBD because his bite is fine and something about bones not sticking out of his face when he bites down.

He thinks it's some kind of nerve damage caused either by trauma to the arm or by something neurological. He can still feel his hand (he pulls it away when you squeeze it), he just doesn't have any motor skills. He still has full use of his arm (he just can't grip with his hand) and he uses it as a cane.

Ivan said he doesn't think it's going to get any worse, but he's not sure if it will get better. He said that he thinks Reggie will be fine if he can never use his hand again since he still has his other hand, both feet, and tail.

He told me not to change anything I'm doing, since he looks great other than the hand, and to tell him if he gets better or worse.

Last night, when he was sleeping, he held onto the branch with his bad hand for the first time since all of this started :D

Side note - he thinks Reggie might have dwarfism. He said at 6 months he's supposed to be much longer and skinnier than he is. Does anyone have any experience with it or information on it?
