Is not a fish tank you wrong, he is doing great believe me you want him to die so you feel great about what you saying.
@jorgegonzl , it is very clear to me that you are a far superior keeper to most of us here on the forums and that you do not need our advice or our experience due to the fact that you have been successful over and over with numerous chameleons that have come to you with health problems. It is unfortunate that we cannot learn from your vast knowledge. It is unfortunate that we are so proud and stubborn and would rather just play these immature games on the forums and not actually decide that you know what is best for your chameleon. We should just re-write the caresheets that have been developed to give new keepers a great starting point to read as follows...
Don't worry, I got this, I've never heard of a chameleon dying due to being kept in a small enclosure. Lighting? Not that big a deal, especially in the case of a chameleon that has already shown signs of Metabolic Bone Disease. Remember this picture... It clearly shows that all the other keepers on this forum do not have a clue...
@jorgegonzl , I will remember that picture. I will remember thinking, "Hmmm, I wonder how long a chameleon with major health concerns can live in those conditions?
I will also think, "Hmmm, I wonder how much money we could have saved that forum member if he had only followed our advice a bit. (Assuming that you would take the steps necessary)
I wish you would do some research in silence for a while and find out what your chameleon really needs and let us get back to doing everything wrong.

I sometimes do appreciate what you post!
Its a shame it goes at the expense of some chameleon's health.
Some people just shouldnt be allowed to own pets.

It's the cheap pets that encourage it sadly. You don't see this stuff with Parsons owners and it's less frequent with Panthers.
My grandpa always use to say, if they would charge people a 1000 dollar lincense fee to own a dog, people would take much better care of their dogs.

Ima give you an example of a correct cage my chameleon is 6 months. Hes been in it since 4? I was once like you, i thought i had everything right but i was totally wrong and even though i didnt know i was hurting him i still fixed it right away and i thank this forum for helpin me. do the right thing and just get him a bigger cage with more stuff and better lighting system it isnt hard man... dont get something if you wouldnt do whats best for it! - yoda came out to say hi while taking these

It's way to easy to purchase and you get crap quality animals and even worse advise...

That is a great heartwarming story. Thank you for that. Trying to help on threads like these can seem pointless and leave you jaded at times. But story's like yours make it seem worth the while

That tiny enclosure is not nearly the size needed for a chameleon that large. Your chameleon needs a larger enclosure with lots more foliage, live plants and branches to climb on and regulate his temperature. Also needs a new light, those CFL bulbs have a bad rep and are not going to make his MBD any better, its most likely going to do the exact opposite. He needs a far more varied diet then just crickets doesn't matter what you're gut loading with crickets alone arent going to meet his dietary needs.
I would strongly suggest you go to another vet, preferably one with experience with exotics so they can get him on some liquid calcium. If these precautions are not met your chameleon is just going to slowly deteriorate. If you do not intend to start acting sooner rather then later i think you should consider trying to re home your chameleon to someone who has the resources available to provide this chameleon with the care it needs. Might sound harsh but chameleons are not Anoles or geckos, they are a lot more challenging to care for then most lizards, and some people just dont have the resources available to care for them properly, and this is a clear example.

This thread has to be the CRAZIEST thread that I have seen so far. I cannot believe the OP is being so hard headed...
This is a live animal you are "caring" for, and not to mention he is already sick. To push aside key elements of this animals natural lifestyle (Lighting, Space, Nutrition) is inhumane.
It seems to me you're treating him more like a decoration and less like a pet animal. Its cage is small, probably on your nightstand, with a plant you like and a nice decorative vine. Not to mention the little stand holding rocks (whatever that is.) This is no doubt set up to please you'r eye, but when it comes to chameleons your opinion doesnt matter at all. All that matters is proper husbandry.
If you simply look up search terms like: "cage size", "lighting", "feeders", etc. here on the fourms, you can easily see all the places where you went wrong.
It doesnt take a genius to realize when they are wrong. I really hope you come to terms with it and upgrade your chameleons enclosure ASAP. I would hate to see another R.I.P post... makes me sad

True is some cases but here where I live there are a lot of bug places and reptile specialists. I’m not trying to be Sensitive but that is also very blunt to say when someone is asking for help... even though this person might not get it some do..... especially when people like my self who have done research and do our best before hand not after.
I know it was not made towards me directly but this definitely discouraged me from posting on here

Minor correction for you too... Chams aren’t pets, they are a hobby! A complicated and expensive one!
