Is this normal?

I'll reduce the handling, I just feel bad seeing it trying to escape. :( But I'll do what's best for Cammie (Wife came up with name)

Thanks,

Jay

Should I buy the Zoo Med Reptile Fogger Terrarium Humidifier? Will it do any good? Or is the little dripper better?

I have it, but I live at 5% humidity 7000 ft. You should only get it if you are having trouble with humidity, Jackson's seem to like those better.

i think being out of his cage for an hour a day is fine but in free range. we take ours out and let each of them free range for most of the afternoon. but handling human to cham contact is maybe 15-30 min all together. and thats spread out between their morning snack, afternoon play time, evening snack and being put away for bed. 30 min is a high #

Would you know of a safe way to handle my chameleon off my hand to its enclosure? It fell asleep on my hand and I feel as if I force it off, I'll do something wrong. I pushed it a little and it opened it's eyes but then closes them.

I dunno I have an issue with that myself... He doesn't fall asleep, he's just too stubborn to get off. LOL. He likes to look out my window, or anywhere that emits light outside his enclosure.

Haha I managed to get him off. Now hes stiff and sound asleep.

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled, Female, About baby to mid-adult. In my care for 1 month.
Handling - 1 hour a day. Don't handle so much especially since he is new to your home give him a month before handling.
Feeding - Small Crickets. 8-10 a day. Gut-loaded using orange cubes. Better gut load use Sandrachameleons blogs like everyone has suggested.
Supplements - Flunckers Calcium with vitamin d3. Every 2-3 days. D3 only every few weeks not so often. Calcium without d3 every other day or every 2 days.
Watering - Spray mist 3-4 times a day. Rarely see it drink. Get a dripper they often will not drink in front of you.
Fecal Description - White urate. Brown-black feces. No tests.
History - None.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Zoo Med Glass Naturalistic Terrarium. I'd use a screen enclosure.
Lighting - ReptiSun 5.0 UVB. Zoo Med infrared heat lamp. Regular house bulb for your everyday lamp is better. Untill you get a screen cage I would keep the watts low and up them when you get a screen cage.
Temperature - 94 f. Zoo Med thermo. With a probe or is it the one you stick to a wall?
Humidity - 62-89. Zoo Med Hydro. Again stuck to a wall or do you have a probe?
Plants - Fake. Bad idea with Veileds usually eat fake plants unless they are indestructible. Live plants like hibiscus would be benificial. They love the blooms.
Placement - On side table in living room. Do you have a quiet area away from traffic? How high off the floor? Are you in there a lot?
Location - Jensen Beach, FL.

Current Problem - It likes to sleep on me alot but in this picture...the ribs show. Even in the enclosure aswell. Is this normal?

Thanks,

Jay
