Is this OK for two 4-5 weeks old chams

Was wondering if this would be alright for a few week old male and female panther chameleons Ill be receiving next week.

I have experience with juveniles of a a few months old and adults but not of babies this young.

I always do screen cages so I wanted your alls opinions on if this will be alright.

Also would they be fine with just a UVB 5.0 and room temp of 75?

Are you keeping them together? I would keep them apart honestly.

You think so? Alright! At that young of age do they need a basking area? Or is 75 degree with a UVB 5.0 fine?

Is the glass nano terrarium ok with the screen top? I couldnt find small all around screen cages anywhere

The nano glass should be fine, I would make the basking probably 80 degrees and see how they do with that, use an old uvb. Preferably one that is close to 6 months or 6 months+.

Amazon should have the small reptibreeze cages, if that's what you were looking for. I wouldn't put two chameleons in an 8x8x8 cube, I would feel that that's too small.

Yeah i agree. You should avoid putting two chameleons near eachother in the first place. I dont know if they're comfortable with eachother but from experience and what i've seen on here, two chameleons near eachother is a bad thing. Males and Females maybe if you're going to breed them and that should be when they're older, correct me if im wrong.

Not for a month or two old chameleon. Technically you can keep younger chameleons together, breeders do it. However they only do it to keep down on space and sometimes it helps with eating and feeding etc. However if you have the space and they are already over a month old, I don't recommend keeping them together.

When I get a clutch I keep them up to two months all together. And then after that I notice what little Clans that stay Together and then I separate and then a month or two later I separate them all. I usually keep mine together for a little while. They need to learn social skills. Sometimes animals born in captive environments lose that. But also that's just my opinion. Hatchlings I always keep in glass up to about 6 weeks to 8 weeks hope this helps and good luck

Idk I think it depends on exactly how old the chams are, what size basking bulb you are using, how heavily planted you make it, and how large the chams actually are. In my opinion, for a chameleon who was a couple months old and of normal size, that size enclosure would be fine (but you would replace it really really fast)... I mean like a month fast... The problem with chameleons is, is when they are young they are tiny and just learning how to hunt well. Unless they come cup trained I wouldn't try something much bigger until you are sure they are cup trained. Chameleons are extremely slow moving and get stressed out from their own prey... it's like nature never wanted them to survive well in captivity... (can't imagine what it's like for babies all out in the big lonesome jungle when they aren't catered to every second and every possible way) lol. I would just be careful. Honestly if you are looking for size appropriate and trying to stay on the cheap size, just make a functioning bin cage.

, totally agree it's like they shouldn't even survive in nature. That's why I let them sort themselves out
