It might be female, but I’ve been wrong before

Hello, all! I’m new to the community and just adopted a baby veiled chameleon. I’ve never owned a reptile before but I did quite a bit of research and decided a chameleon was right for me. I would like help identifying sex and possibly age. My best guess is female and about three months. I don’t see tarsal spurs or a bulge near the bottom of the tail. Can anyone give any insight?

Unfortunately, he or she doesn’t give me many opportunities to take good pictures. I’ll try later on today when he or she is not hiding.

I’m going to say male based off the casque but as mentioned the back feet are easiest way to tell.

Yeah if you can get a pic of the back feet on a branch so you can see it from the side. That is the best way to tell at this age if there is a small tarsal spur. Cute little peanut you have.

Since you can’t take a pic of the back feet, do the back feet have spurs that look similar to these? If it does have the sharp spurs, it’s a male, if not, female.
