Jackson chameleon making sounds

I wish I could get help I was thinking of the gofundme method but takes months for it to happen and my chameleon dosent have time I will take him tomorrow ill figure it out were I will get the cash.

Do not grab him from above. Always scoop from under their chest or belly and use your other hand to herd them if necessary. Poor guy looks like he has something caught in his throat. Maybe give him a hornworm and see if that helps get it down the hatch.

yea don't worry I don't hold him that often and if so I let him walk to my hand, am out of hornworms but I have crickets and he eat them without trouble but I don't know why the sound.

Is he still doing this? It kinda looks if he is trying to throw up but it isn’t coming out. You feed him free range or from a cup or something? Is there a possibility of escapees?

Poor little guy. I’ve never seen that before, but agree that it looks like he’s gagging on something…like maybe a feeder got stuck. How big are the feeders that you gave/give? Does he chew his feeders or just gulp them? His feeders shouldn’t be any larger than the space between his eyes. I prefer giving ones that are on the smaller side and just give more of them. I’m assuming he’s stopped making the noise and body heaving. Is there any wheezing, popping or other sounds coming from him? Is he holding his head up, like stargazing? Are his respirations really prominent or do you have to look carefully to see him breathe? If your credit is decent, most vets offer care credit. Asking friends or family for help may be an option. Once this episode has passed, you may want to consider pet insurance for him.
I can’t be of much help with the specifics of Jackson’s husbandry. I don’t know how fast they grow, but he does have some pretty sizable horns for being a juvenile.
I do hope your handsome little guy will be ok.

I feed him crickets on the small size not too small but not too large and he never got trouble eating it just happen today. he didn't do any more noises I was with him the whole day after he did those noises. I'll figure it out in the morning about a vet I hope they aren't that expensive and I don't know what care credit is. I got a Jackson since I know for a fact they don't get as big as a veiled but I assure you I'll get him a bigger cage right now things aren't cheap. yes and I hope he will be okay I'll have to miss tomorrow class if it means taking him to a vet because that's for me more important. thank you so much for the support.

Let’s see for tomorrow, if he doesn’t make any other noises. And he isn’t doing it anymore, then probably something got stuck and he wanted to remove it. Keep a close eye on him, maybe a good night of fogging also does the trick.

should I turn on the fogger?. I hope that dosent harm him he has alot of ventilation too. I hope he gets better but just in case I'll take him to an exotic vet.

When temps are low at night, a fogger would in principal never harm. If he doesn’t make any more/other noises, the changes of URI are very small. Therefore I personally would use the fogger.

Here is a list of vets around Philly and Jersey who could look at him. I know you’re about 90 minutes away but these doctors can help, if the issue persists.
