was able to keep humidity perfectly fine untill we moved and now i cant get it up high enough i have a shower curtain covering 3 sides the back the left and the right and i have a mist king that goes off for 5 min every hr and a half or so and a cool mist humidifier that runs all day he is in a repti breeze 24x24x48 with one huge umbrella plant in it and i mean huge lol his temps are fine humidity is not tho iam thinking of covering the top as well do you think this is fine?

What are you measuring your humidity with?

I would not cover the top. It would be a fire hazard.

Exo Terra hydro therm I have 3 of them in the cage all say the same humidity and I have at least a dozen around my basement out side of enclosures to keep track of humidity

I don't worry about what the humidity reading is for my Jackson, I don't even measure it. He has the cool mist humidifier and misting sessions that seem to work fine. You don't want a constantly high humidity as that is a recipe for mold, bacteria and respiratory infections. You want peaks with misting and drops between to allow the cage to dry out. If he is hydrated and not having trouble shedding I wouldn't worry about it.

no problem shedding i moved Thor (my jacksons) and didnt have time to get the mister and the humidifier set up until the next day so i ran a dripper and hand misted every 2 hrs after i moved him and he decided it was time to break out into full shed lol poor guy i scrambled to get it all rigged up as quick as i could and id say it was one of his best sheds yet.

I should do an update on him soon hes grown quite a bit since last time i updated and hes grown quite an attitude on him I think hes learning from Loki my 2 yr old male veiled...
