just finished diy rain dome

Hey everyone, up until now I had a habba mister which kinda sucked haha but yesterday i just made a rain dome for just 40 buck including the pump which if you ask me is a steal. Another great thing about the rain dome is that since i did it myself i could pick out how big i wanted it to be ( or small since i didnt have too much room due to lighting/ uvb) the cham is not afraid of it like it used to be of the mister and it looks way cooler.

any pics?? sounds cool. i noticed that once i got my mister my chams still prefer the dripper or hand mister for drinking and they will stay out of the way when the mister sprays.

How does it work? Just add water into the barrel, pump brings it into the container, and then through small holes poked on the bottom?

pretty much although there are two containers on top of each other that way there is an even water distribution for all the rain drops

ya, the parts were 2 containers one bigger than the other but still stackable both ways, tubing, a pump, and a ball valve to control the water flow and haha thanks, i use the dice to prop up part of the uvb lighting for more coverage.

Thats great idea... my little guy doesn't like getting misted.. so that would be something he might like.. i might have to look into making one of those..

What kind of pump did you use??

i used a 525 gph pump but that was too powerful that is why I used the ball valve... it just depends on how high the pumping length is really
