Just introducing ourselves how can I get him to eat the

hi my name is Michelle we just got a 9 month to a year old valued Cham he is cool looking my first husbands 2 but it's been years for him we have had him for about a week I do the main feeding he seems to be afraid of crickets loves wax and milworms that's all they feed him i have yet to name this little guy I am fixing to move him to my room don't think he likes the kids how can I get him to eat the crickets? I would put up a pic but don't know how

afraid of the crickets? that's unusual, although chameleons are typically attracted to movement. do you have a screen or glass cage? i have a screen and the crickets can rome around the cage freely and then when my cham gets hungry he can just go hunting. Depending on how many you have. i would suggest letting 5-10 free in the cage, just make sure you have no standing water or else they will die (oops). also screen cages are wonderful not only for the increased airflow but also the face that some worms and the crickets can climb up the walls!!

If he won't eat crickets, you can always try dubia roaches. Unlike crickets, they don't smell bad or make noise. You can buy a dubia colony on many different websites. However, you have to watch out, because too much exposure to their poop can make you develop an allergy.

Also, you need to ditch the mealworms. They have absolutely no nutritional value whatsoever and a hard exoskeleton that your chameleon can choke on.

To post a picture, just click on "Upload a File", then click on "Choose File" and it will give you the option to take a photo or video choose one from your camera roll. Pick one and then it will load for a little bit. Then the picture should appear below the post box. Choose whether you want the picture as a thumbnail or a full image. You're done!

What I told you to do to post a picture will only work on a phone. Sorry, I don't know what to do on a computer.

a reason why chameleons may be afraid of crickets is they have been bitten by them
yes I talk to the ppl we got him from and they said he was eating them and then he started hiding from them after they had left the crickets in over night so they think he may have got bit
