I just ordered a praying mantids case that should arive on tuesday but i need to know what to feed them once they hatch. Are pin head crickets ok? Also can praying mantis be my chams primary source for feeders? I am feeding them crickets as thereprimary source for feeders but i want to know if praying mantis could also be there primary feeders, or just as a treat like waxworms mealworms ext.

I had my ooths hatch the other day. I have been feeding them fruit flys. The flys look bigger than the mantids, but they seem to eat them just fine.

They are drosophila hydei flightless fruit flies. I keep them in the big deli cups w a little Eco earth on bottom and lots of sticks. I will move them to a bigger container when the grow. They can climb the plastic and are usually on the damn lid so they all try to escape when you open it.

That's what we feed our PDF's...... Super easy to propagate!!!! Thanks

What about glass? Could i maybe keep them in a cardboard box if the temp is right and humidity? Hows the humidity and temp in your container?

I mist them every couple days. They stay in my feeder room which is usually in the mid 80's. I don't know if they climb glass.
