Just say no to RED

[Aquarium Masters]

I have 5 Jacksons and 2 Graceful. They normally like/tolerate me and don't hiss or posture much at all. HAHAHAH that is until today. I have been completely rejected by most of them...even the graceful have postured to me...right before eating a cricket out of my hand.

The only thing that is different is the bright red shirt. Note to self...don't wear this shirt again.

My veiled does this with the color blue. I think it's because that is the color of Petsmart uniforms. He hates those people and I can't blame him haha

It's not only colors that they react to ...they will react to patterns too...and sometimes even certain movements.

Yea they are horrible. I bought a cat with worms from them once too and they refused to help

I exerimented with this a few months back to see if colours did indeed effect their behaviour. What I found was that my Mitsio hated my green shirt, as did my Tamatave. My Faly hated my blue shirt. My Tamatave, Mitsio and Faly all hated my red shirt. I think they saw me as a threat due to the colours being similar to their fired up colours. They didnt bother at all with a light brown coloured shirt, I thought it might get their heads bobbing! lol

I would guess it is because it light brown is a natural color for them, as are muted shades of green.

My brother in law is an avid hunter. I often wondered if my jackson's would be fond of me holding them if I was wearing camo!!!

Anyone have experience wearing camo with their cham?
