Hi Everyone!

Yesterday I posted about my Chameleon having a possible eye infection. I gave her one last bath last night and dribbled some water on her eye. Good news! All of the crust is out of her eye! The swelling has gone down sufficiently and her eye is fully open! She is very happy today! I am going to continue giving her Spinach for the vitamin A it contains, and Sweet Potato Baby Food for the beta carotene it contains. I will also continue giving her a bath and dripping water on her eye to make sure her eye is fully clean. Thank you to every one who helped me through this!

:)

Watch her closely!

My Veiled had the same symptoms and I too tried just giving more vitamin A and rinsing her eye with saline. She still squinted and kept it shut some though, so I took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with vitamin A deficiency and a double eye infection. The antibiotic eye drops cleared it all up in 4 days!

That's good! I am glad your Chameleons is cleared up! Luckily, I noticed El's eye was bad before it got out of hand. Are they recommending you feed her anything to help with her Vitamin A deficiency? If so, what is it? It could probably help mine :)
