K. Matschiei Copulation

wow the one thats like right next to the light has some VERY VERY NICE COLORS. well done keep posting pics and keep us informed they look amazing hopefully next year ill be able to get a female and breed zilla and get my own little adorable chameleons. its to bad that the eggs are sensative and you cant like buy an egg like you can with chickens and just let it hatch and grow that would be sweet maybe with tecknologies getting better that might be a possiablility with cham eggs.

Youtube video of baby eating.

One last baby to hatch (probably tomorrow) and the whole clutch will have hatched within 2 and a half weeks. There are already some eating houseflies so they will be the ones I'll have to separate from the others. This species is just really good at tracking down prey and eating. I am continually amazed at how at only a few hours old, a baby will track my movements with one eye, spot a fly, chase after the fly, and zap it!

They are such COOL little guys! You have done such an AMAZING job with this species! These guys have such great color and patterns....and the tail...They are just SO cool!!:cool:

These little guys are doing well, eating everything that moves! Some are approaching their 5th week but don't measure them by panther standards as many of them hatched much larger than panther babies. They love houseflies, have eaten 1/8" crickets since day 1, hydei & mela fruit flies, baby superworms, leafhoppers, and garden spiders.

I can tell it will be VERY hard to sex these guys. I have taken so many pics to test myself on which one will be male and female. We'll see whose rostrals develop fastest/biggest.

More photos, enjoy!

All three look like boys to me. Opinions welcome!

Great update Chad!! They are awesome little creatures. They must be eating you out of house and home. Looks like there rostrals are really starting to grow.

NICE!!!!!!!! The first looks like a male and the other two female, going by what I see on the horns of K. tavetana when this young. From the pictures it appears to me that the first animal has rostral processes that are spread slightly further apart along with being just a tad bit bulkier and wider than the other two pictured.

I dont know about anyone else but I have no problems with you posting the "so many pics":D

OMG. way to cuteeee! and the little thought bubble. your terrible! lol

Cute pics. From my experience with multituberculata I'm gonna say that there is no rush on the sexing -- one day you will walk in there and it will just be totally obvious all of a sudden. That said, matschiei females do have prominent rostrals...
