Keep fogger on 24/7, Y/N?

Hey guys. So today one of my thermo/hygrometers set itself to "Hi" meaning that humidity is above 90 so I turned it off for now and that got me wondering, should the fogger be on all day? I've had it running since I siliconed things to be sealed and it dried late last night. I haven't run a dripper at all since the fog lands nicely on a leaf and collects water droplets, although my chameleon seems almost scared of the fog sometimes. Ah well, thanks for the answers guys.

No def do not keep it on all day. I had the same problem with my humidifier when I had it. My Cham absolutely hated the fog. The problem with it is that it's so light they can actually breath the light mist in. This can cause them to build up water in their lungs. The light fog is also cold. That is why they call it a cool mist humidifier. They do sell warm mist humidifiers but they cost more. If I were u can u plan to stick with the humidifier for awhile instead of buying a misting system invest in a good second cycle timer. This will allow u to set the humidifier so that it wil go off a few times a day for a certain amount of time. You really do not want to leave the humidifier on for extended periods of time.

Im unsure as to what type of cham your keeping, but my jacksonii loves the fogger, I keep it on a timer that comes on for 30 min, and off for 30 min. This does not deplete the resivour before I get home to fill it, and keeps humidity ideal, and still creates droplets for drinking.

My humidifier is aimed in an area near, but not on, where my cham likes to spend time at the basking spot.

Its set to run everytime humidity drops below 40% and will turn off when it hits 40%, so it runs often throughout the day. it turns on when the lights turn on and turns off about 2 hours before the lights go out.

Have had no problems, he used to be scared of it...now, he just eyeballs it hard!
