Keeping 2 females together?

I come from the uk and have never used nightime hating with my chameleons. If you have to a ceramic heat emitter should be used as a heatmat will do virtually nothing for upping temperatures unless the chameleon physically sits directly on top of it.

Aslong as nightime heating stays above 60f it should be ok. In a house it should generally stay above this.

With regards to housing it is much easier and less hassle keeping them separate. I know the Uk market is quite overrun with yemen babies so any you hatch may be hard to sell. You will get shops who may say theyw ill buy them but again this comes down to availability at the time and who they can get them cheaply from. At the moment suppliers sell yemens to shops at about £10-£12. There is no money to be made from them as the babies sure do eat a lot! :D

Maybe you don't need heat mats in America, but in England the nights round here are 12 degrees Celsius. :)

You're letting the inside of your house get that cold? You still don't need heatmats because a ceramic bulb is going to be far more effective at keeping your chameleon warm.

but i can only afford 1 tank at the moment, and I already have 2 canopys and 2 heat mats......how about a 4 foot tank?
or should I go to our local pet shop and see how much the largest tank is?

Ok everyone may find themselves in a jam at times, however ... Here is the best advice I have for you. If your funds are short simply build your own enclosures they do not need to be fancy at this time they simply need to function for the Chameleon. Materials to construct a enclosure may be made from recycled materials provided they are properly good clean materials. The only material and I stress that you must buy new are the staples the screening and the nails and or screws. Hope this helps ! Just remember the rule one Chameleon one enclosure!

Yes, my house gets that cold...
That's what duvets are for :p

I have the money, but if anything I want a 2nd hand tank less than £50
